Holding Pattern Exhibition:
Imaginary Wines
An exhibition of selection of collaged and constructed colour studies made between 2018 -2022 often whilst in the middle of other things or when health/ world events meant being stuck in place. The cutting and sorting processes of collaging, was something repetitive, simple and calming I could do when everything around me felt shaky and unstable.
There is something about the grasping and searching for order amidst the uncertainty of the world, of the human condition, that is eased through drawing, painting, arranging, sorting, filing. All mechanisms that aim to give us back some control.
